Extrusion Supervisor (#266248)

We're currently seeking an Extrusion Department Supervisor for a leading North American manufacturer

Scope of Work:

-Overall operation of a Polyethylene Blown Film Extrusion department supervising a crew of 20 Operators in a 24/7 operation

Main Duties:

-The successful candidate will supervise the activities of the assigned personnel
-Train and direct employees with respect to quality, output, cost, meeting production schedules, complying with Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
-Resolve personnel problems that might arise
-Ensure that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly prepared for efficient production
-Arrange for equipment maintenance
-Resolve issues as they occur
-Keep records of departmental activities, as required
-Responsible for the supply and control of all raw material and consumables used in the department

Qualifications:

-Post secondary diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
-Excellent interpersonal skills, written & verbal communication, organizational skills and proven leadership capabilities
-Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
-5 years' leadership experience in a Manufacturing environment
-Experience in blown film Extrusion a definite asset
-Must be available for rotating weekly "On Call" - off shifts and weekends
