YOUR OPPORTUNITY:
The Field Operator will contribute to the safe and reliable operation of wells in the Bonnyville Heavy Oil field. In this role, you will be responsible for inspection, maintenance and minor repairs to numerous well sites, pumping-related equipment and production facilities. You will have the opportunity to utilize your technical expertise to optimize heavy oil wells and ensure that planned production, quality and environmental targets are met.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?
. Start up and shut down all field operations without supervision
. Optimize well site capacity in a safe and efficient manner
. Troubleshoot operational problems
. Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform minor repairs and servicing
. Adhere to and engage in safety protocols
. Recognize abnormal operating conditions of equipment
. Troubleshoot operational problems
. Assist senior level staff in overseeing day-to-day plant and field activities
. Generate and analyze production reports
. Work 10 hour shifts and a 8/6 rotation

QUALIFICATIONS: 
. Typically 3+ years of related industry experience
. Valid Class 5 Driver's License
. GPO (Gas Process Operations) and/or PFO (Production Field Operations) certification is considered an asset
. Familiarity with and understanding of
   o Field Operations
   o Piping Configurations
   o Equipment limitations and operating procedures
   o Regulatory and compliance policies
   o First Aid, H2S Alive
   o Plant processes including compression, fractionation, sweeting, dehydration
   o Production Optimization and Cost Control
