  • Natural Resources - Energy, mining, oil & gas, and pulp & paper.

Intermediate Design Engineer (#266010)

Key responsibilities:

-Perform, as required, mechanical engineering design work in support of projects, proposals and studies

-Provide engineering technical support for operations and production by investigating and resolving issues as they arise

-Investigate NCR/ECR's, root cause analysis, design and issue corrective actions to prevent future recurrences

-Participate in R&D activities including conceptual design, development and experimental testing

-Project management of capital expenditures including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with purchasing, production departments and vendors

Essential qualifications:

-University graduate in Mechanical Engineering

-5-10 years of machine design experience in designing small to medium sized custom machinery

-Competent using 3D CAD software

-Strong technical skills with attention to detail

-Proven ability to multitask efficiently and flexibility to respond to changes in priorities

-Good organizational and time management skills - ability to meet deadlines

-Team player - ability to work in multidiscipline environments

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Must be eligible to work in Canada

Preferred qualifications:

-In-line inspection tool design knowledge

-Pipeline operation knowledge

-Medical or packaging machine design experience

-Operations support knowledge
