The OPP is responsible for providing policing services throughout Ontario. These services include municipal contract policing, rural policing, traffic enforcement, criminal investigations and other specialties. The O.P.P. operates out of 165 detachments, five regional headquarters, one divisional headquarters and a general headquarters in Orillia. Detachment locations vary from large urban centres to small communities. O.P.P. members are responsible for traffic safety on Ontario's roadways, waterways and trails.
You must be willing to serve anywhere in the province of Ontario to be considered for a constable position within the OPP however your posting preferences are taken into consideration at the time an offer of employment is made.
