Service Desk Analyst, Level II, To start ASAP, 12 hours shifts, 3/3 days

Our client, IBM, is currently seeking Service Desk Analysts, Level II for a 12 month position, with the possibility of extension of up to 5 years. You will be supporting clients globally with technical problems, including but not limited to operating systems, hardware / software and connectivity issues. The position is located in Calgary, Alberta and you will be reporting to IBM Management, in conjunction with your dedicated on-site Kelly Services Staffing Partner.

By working at IBM, you will be exposed to a large global company, work in a fast paced corporate environment and be an integral part of the Technical Support team.

The pay rate for this opportunity is $18.25/hour + 4% vacation pay

**You are required to be available to work 12 hours shifts, 3/3 days (7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) **

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Provide Technical support, Level II to a wide range of corporate clients;
  • Resolve technical issues related to hardware / software, operating systems and connectivity;
  • Phone and email support;
  • Continuing to improve SLA (Service Level Agreement) targets within a team environment.

Main Skill Requirements .

  • Microsoft Outlook & Office, Windows NT Workstation, Adobe Acrobat, Lotus Notes and Windows XP;
  • Software, hardware troubleshooting;
  • Password Administration;
  • Printers / VPN;
  • Networking;
  • Mainframe;
  • Active Directory.

You will be a very detailed and team oriented individual with strong communication and customer service skills, good judgement and strong decision making skills. You will be required to problem solve, troubleshoot and exceed in a high pressure environment. Strong technical support experience within a call centre environment as well as having a post secondary education within the IT field would be a definite asset.
