Retail Store Associates

Obtains proper credit from all Vendor Partners and controls inventory by performing the following duties:
Remains active in preventing shrinkage by: Scanning all damaged merchandise out of inventory in a timely manner. Maintaining up-to-date returns. Maintaining up-to-date Vendor Return Requests. Clearing the Journal for the Claims area. Keeping Claims area neat and free of hazards. Being knowledgeable about Company guidelines regarding the handling of damaged/recalled merchandise. Ensures that repaired merchandise is handled properly by: Properly completing out-of-store repair paperwork. Following up to ensure repairs are returned to the store on time. Completing recalls in a timely manner. Properly disposing of chemicals. Ordering replacement parts for damaged merchandise in a timely manner. Removing gasoline from returned items and stores/disposes of it properly. Being familiar with chemical hazards and the hazardous communication process. Ensures that the Return Manual is being followed through: Keeping charge backs to a minimum. Keeping claims current. Ensuring Vendor Return Request Forms are completed for all claims over 45 days old. Ensures that recalled merchandise is processed on time by: Completing paperwork, packing and shipping the merchandise by the due date. Logging dollar amounts of returns weekly. Retrieving needed information from microfiche. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Additional Responsibilities Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
