Business Development Executive - (Transportation) OTE: $70K - $75K
Our client, the leader in third party logistics in North America has requested that Mark Krpan of Lock Search Group assist them in finding a Business Development Executive for the GTA-WEST.
Summary of Role:
Reporting to the Branch Manager in their Oakville location, the Business Development Executive's primary responsibility will be to identify and secure net new business within Truckload/Reefer services. As a subject matter expert of the consultative sales process, the Business Development Executive will leverage their strong business acumen, desire to excel and solid relationship skills to achieve their desired results
The primary responsibility of this position is to identify and secure business from existing clients and securing new one's
Maintain growth of existing accounts and negotiate price and service agreements
Perform quarterly reviews with major accounts
Provide accurate and timely information to ensure clients' needs are truly addressed
Achieve daily, monthly, and quarterly sales goals
Monitor and address service challenges, providing route cause analysis to clients
Monitor industry trends, competitors and market conditions
Research company, cold call contacts & analyze customer stability/potential for each lead
Network through customer structure to determine company goals and decision-makers
Establish extensive customer relationships at executive levels and multi-departments
Required Skills & Abilities:
Post-secondary education (MUST HAVE)
3-5 years of hunting and farming sales experience selling various transportation modes (LTL, FTL, reefer, flatbed) to corporate customers
Strong analytical skills & financial acumen; uncovers process improvement opportunities
Utilizes consultative selling process to present customer-needs-oriented solutions
Demonstrates highly competitive nature, skillful adaptability & persistence to drive results
Historically achieves challenging goals and re-defining personal standards of excellence
Manages time, priorities and projects with precision and appropriate tools
Persistent; takes initiatives and sustains action over time in attaining significant results
Leverages strong internal & external partnerships to facilitate goal achievement
Confidently networks & builds value-added relationships with senior executives
Influences with multiple approaches, professional & leverages personality style differences
Base Salary: $50,000 - $55,000
Variable Earnings (On Target): $20,000 (uncapped)
Total On Target Earnings (Year 1): $70,000 - $75,000
