As a Plant Operator you will contribute to the safe and reliable operation of thermal facilities at our Primrose and Wolf Lake Oil Sands Project. Apply your diverse operating experience while developing expertise in multiple operational areas, working with:

. Once Through Steam Generators
. Water Treatment Equipment
. Oil Process and Treating Equipment
. Gas Turbines and Heat Recovery Steam Generators
. Auxiliary Boilers

Our Primrose/Wolf Lake Thermal In Situ operation is located approximately 55 km north of Bonnyville, Alberta. Bonnyville and the nearby City of Cold Lake are unlike many other Oil and Gas towns, surrounded by scenic landscapes and provincial parks. Canadian Natural employees in the area enjoy outdoor activities year round including fishing, camping, snowmobiling, and golfing. The Lakeland area offers all of the amenities of a big city, with a small community feel. 

Canadian Natural offers a complete relocation package to Bonnyville or Cold Lake, and we have a team of dedicated relocation specialists to help you through the process. We also provide daily transportation to and from the work site from Bonnyville and Cold Lake.

. Maintain and optimize equipment and processes
. Start up and shut down all plant equipment independently 
. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs and servicing
. Collaborate with other plant operators to oversee the day to day plant activities

.    Typically 5+ years of related industry experience with a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate or above
.    Familiarity with and understanding of:
   o First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, H2S and Fall Arrest
   o High pressure boilers
   o Auxiliary equipment
   o Compressors
   o Water treatment equipment
   o Pipelines and wells
