Job Description

Administrative Secretary (Health Care/Non-Profit) - Part-time - 3.75 hours/day, 19 weeks

Seeking candidates with previous experience providing administrative support to a research department/environment for a fantastic part-time, temporary opportunity (3.75 hours/day, Mon-Fri, 19 weeks) within a prestigious non-profit/health organization!

Role and Responsibilities

Providing administrative support to a research team which includes scientists, research associates and research project staff, where duties may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Assisting in managing research grant budgets and accounts and processing research grant invoices
  • Coordinating meeting arrangements
  • Preparing travel requests, expense claim forms and other documents
  • Assisting with payroll functions
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience

  • 1-3 years of previous administrative experience in a scientist's office or research environment or equivalent experience/education required
  • Previous experience with procurement processes and research administration/research operations required
  • Experience providing administrative support to multiple staff and experience working in a team environment required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong initiative and ability to work well independently juggling multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Availability to start a temporary, part-time position as of May 26th, 2014, consisting of 3.75 hours/day, Mon-Fri (18.75 hours/week)
