Intermediate Legal Assistant – Litigation
Salary: Up to $62K

Their office, located in the heart of the financial and business district, is seeking a reliable and service-oriented intermediate to senior level legal assistant with 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation and construction lien. You will be supporting two lawyers where your effective organization skills are vital in identifying priorities and meeting deadlines in a rewarding and professionally stimulating environment. Primary Duties Include:

  • Preparation and editing of correspondence and legal documents
  • Review documentation and claims from new files
  • Organize and request productions and documentation from clients 
  • Assist with authorizations, undertakings, discoveries and productions
  • Opening and closing files
  • Maintaining daily contact with clients
  • Other general duties as required


Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm
  • Legal assistant diploma plus additional courses an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
  • Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere
  • Strong technical skills (including Microsoft Office)
  • Flexibility to work overtime when necessary
