We are seeking a Project Manager for our PCL Constructors Canada Inc. district office located in Winnipeg.
We require a minimum of 5 years commercial or civil construction experience in a general contracting environment.
  • Overall project performance: cost, schedule, quality and project status
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with project team, trade contractors architects, consultants and our clients
  • Project planning and execution
  • Ensures comprehensive project close-out
  • Manages project meetings
  • Mentors and coaches junior project staff
  • Be responsible for project pursuits
  • Assists in securing new work by participating in estimates, working with subcontractors and participating in proposals and presentations
  • Other duties as required
  • Technical degree or diploma in engineering
  • A minimum of 5+ years progressive construction experience leading up to a Project Manager role
  • Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, problem solving and timelines
  • Familiar with project management software programs
  • Knowledge of relevant construction law and building codes
  • Ability to understand and employ engineering/construction plans/specifications, methods and procedures
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish a good working relationship with many different people, including owners, other managers, designers, supervisors, and trades people
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to solve problems related to construction, sequencing and staffing
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
