Technical Sales Specialist (#273104)
The Technical Specialist is responsible for the promotion, sale and technical support of products to end-users and authorized distributors within his or her assigned territory. The sales person is to
professionally represent the company with all commercial contacts and is specifically responsible for
developing new profitable business while maintaining the territory's existing business.
. Make planned calls on all assigned customer accounts and contact key personnel
concerned with the purchase and application of products for the purpose of
increasing sales and promoting goodwill.
. Grow share of business and generate incremental sales at targeted
accounts through intensified and focused sales effort.
. Promote and encourage the sale of products by training distributor personnel
on product features and benefits and on application information.
. Conduct joint planning sessions with distributor management and monitor progress
on a regular basis.
. Perform product/application presentations which will include the preparation of
talks, visual aids, product demonstrations, problem discussions and specific plans
to assist customers in improving their productivity through the purchase of our
. Minimum of five years as a Technical Sales Specialist or Application Engineer or
equivalent experience in the sale and application of metalworking products.
. Degree in Engineering / Mechanical or Machine Trade or equivalent
. Demonstrated excellent skills in planning, organizing and management.
. Good oral and written communications skills
. Working knowledge in the aerospace industry is preferred
