Position Summary


Supervisory Responsibilities: Receives, stores and distributes product and equipment within the warehouse. Complete all paperwork as required. Provides work direction, coaching and training to Warehouse Associates.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Receives and stocks product from manufacturers and wholesalers. Moves product around warehouse, operating warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Equipment that may be utilized include forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers.
  • Provides work direction to Warehouse Operations personnel to ensure all employees are properly trained and competent to perform their duties so the department can run smoothly.
  • Assures accurate quantities of product were received by comparing appropriate paperwork, data displayed on hand-held scanner, and matching product numbers. Question and resolve discrepancies as required.
  • Data enters product information using a hand-held scanner into the warehouse database for inventory tracking to assure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identifies product shortages/damages from delivery upon receipt of product.
  • Inventory is identified with the location information and shelved in the proper location. Product location information is submitted to receiving as available inventory.
  • Inspects products and tags all freight by date received for date-sensitive product, item number, expiration date (if any) and description; signs for product received; and completes receiving paperwork.
  • Reconciles purchase orders with receiving document.
  • Prepares and generate daily operation reports (DOR) for management.
  • Ensure that all warehouse department supply requirements (uniforms, shipping supplies, etc.) are tracked and met.
  • Learns, understands and complies with all company policies.
  • Works cooperatively with peers and other departments to work effectively.
  • Adheres to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.
  • Provides direction to Warehouse Operations personnel on specific objectives and measures day-to-day goals and results. Keeps timesheets and personnel records.
  • Initiates personnel action and is able to provide clear, effective, timely and constructive feedback to employees, peers and management. Responsible for training, hiring, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating warehouse personnel.

Work requires moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity. While performing duties of this job, employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. Employee may lift, lower, carry product up to a maximum of 64 pounds by hand. Will regularly operate warehouse equipment which requires manual dexterity requiring some coordinated movements. May require physical effort associated with using the computer or hand-held scanner to enter information.

Works in a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job the employee will regularly operate warehouse equipment. Using proper safety procedures will eliminate any potential hazards. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.



  • Minimum of three (3) year experience as a Warehouse Associate; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
  • Previous lead and/or supervisory experience required.
  • Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker. Ability to become certified in the operation of all warehouse equipment.



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, but not required.
