Inpatient Units and Surgical Clinics
Joseph Brant Hospital is currently recruiting for a full time Manager, Surgical Services to join our Surgical Services Team. The Manager of Surgical Services ensures the highest quality of patient care through day-to-day planning and co-ordination of human and material resources and uses clinical knowledge and leadership skills to promote the delivery of quality patient care in the Surgical Program.
In this role, you will utilize exceptional decision-making, mediating, and problem solving skills to effectively manage and operate a 23 bed Surgical Inpatient Unit, (which includes six (6) Close Observation beds) and a 21 bed Orthopedic Surgical Inpatient Unit. This role also has management oversight for the Surgical Clinics afflicted with the program. Your outstanding organizational, time management and communication capabilities will enable you to provide leadership and clinical support to these services. You must demonstrate a commitment to patient and family-focused care, evidence-based practice, quality of care and quality of staff work life consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Hospital.
Your qualifications include a Baccalaureate degree, a Masters degree in a position- related field is preferred, current Certification of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and membership in relevant professional associations. You must have 5 years of related clinical and management experience; knowledge and experience in Surgery are essential.
