Our client, a large non-profit organization is seeking a candidate for a fantastic Administrative Assistant opportunity in the Hamilton area. This is a great opportunity if you are passionate about helping others!

Role and Responsibilities

Provides secretarial support to Helpline Managers and operations.

Prepares material packages and process outgoing mail.

Assists in maintaining files, manuals, and material for call centre.

Assists in preparing and formatting documentation, presentations, correspondence, and reports Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Enters Fax Referral into database and schedules for appropriate date.

Answers Helpline inquiries and takes messages as required.

Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Other duties as required.

Proficient typing and word processing skills; familiar with MS Office.

Oral and written communication skills to respond to telephone inquiries, prepare reports, presentations, etc.

Good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with staff and project team members.

Good customer service skills to deal with internal and external inquiries.

Organization skills to handle inventory, maintain files, facilitate meetings.

Comfortable working in a technology-dependent environment.

Ability to prioritize workload and handle a number of concurrent assignments at one time.

French an asset.
