Position Description

The OD and Learning Specialist, is responsible for designing and developing tools for learning, including blended-learning solutions (social technologies, web-based and classroom training,) that support McKesson Canadaâ?Ts strategic initiatives. The incumbent will conduct needs analyses, working with subject matter experts and/or third-party vendors to develop curricula, and create specific courseware to address key objectives. He/she will partner with various business groups to achieve goals and objectives.  He/she will also be responsible for conducting the performance management process at McKesson Canada.  The Organizational Development team works closely with OD, Talent and Diversity resources, HRBPs, and the leadership team to help achieve McKesson Canadaâ?Ts business goals by prioritizing and executing on programs that develop organisational leadership and capabilities, and develop employees and enhance their contributions to the growth of McKesson Canada. 

Responsibilities
 

  • Provides learning solutions to McKesson Canada through consulting and the creation of industry leading learning solutions and role curriculum that maximize the use of face to face / Virtual Class and e.learning based methods. Analyzes, defines, and develops deliverables to achieve desired business goals (i.e., training for an initiative, communication of new procedures, etc.)
  • Performs needs analysis to identify key objectives and skill gaps, including the individual evaluation of leaders for hiring and promotion
  • Provides program oversight and leadership for company-wide performance management process, the Talent Management System, and key Organizational Development efforts.
  • Provides organizational thought leadership and support on learning issues related to large-scale organizational learning initiatives, including the use of social learning.

Requirements

  •  Mastersâ?T degree, in Learning and Development, Educational Technology, or the equivalent
  • 8 + year of experience in a learning capacity
  • Experience in working with corporate client groups
  • Ability to share knowledge and coach and train others
  • Familiarity with and experience with LMS or other training management systems
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Proficient with Articulate/Storyline, Captivate and Adobe Creative Suite.
