Position Description

Recommend HRIS solutions for McKesson Canada and ensure they meet specific HR, business and legal requirements.  Provide HRIS support to HR team, all employees and managers from McKesson Canada.  Act as a key point of contact for PeopleSoft system development and support to internal HR users and Corporate HR/IT development and support teams.  Provide workforce information to both the Business Units and HR management.

Specific Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities generally include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze business requirements in order to propose enhancements to the PeopleSoft development team on behalf of all divisions of McKesson Canada;
  •  Liaison with HRIS US for all system requirements, interfaces, fixes and enhancements;
  • Plan, define and execute unit testing and UAT for PeopleSoft; will collaborate and assist with key users when appropriate;
  • Design and implement key process to be used by HR across Canada to insure data integrity on HR and payroll data;
  • Train and support HR users in PeopleSoft. Also involved in assisting HRBP to train their client groups;
  • Provides 2nd level of support on PeopleSoft for McKesson Canada employees and managers.  Works in collaboration with US and Canadian IT teams in order to implement a permanent solution;
  • Provides 2nd level of support on HR modules/processes: eCompensation, ePerformance, Talent Review Process, Talent Acquisition;  
  • Analyze data and implement key controls to ensure accuracy and reliability;
  • Provide demographics, workforce indicators, trends and projections analysis to BU and HR management;
  • Deliver accurate and timely report outputs based on required criteria and timelines.  Support request from internal and external users;
  • Create and update reports in Access database. Review regularly for improvements; 
  • Provide support to other HR users of our report writing tools. Provide key knowledge of database structure;
  • Maintain and update key components of PeopleSoft for McKesson Canada: department trees, account code tree, back-end table configuration;
  • Maintain PeopleSoft security for McKesson Canada users;
  • Prepare and test all mass data uploads;
  • Provide requested support to IT for HR interfaces to internal and third party vendors;
  • Assist payroll department in the definition and configuration of PeopleSoft.  Analyze business requirements and propose solutions. Key spokesperson representing all HR requirements;
  • Prepare and maintain quick reference guides and documentation for entries in PeopleSoft modules;
  • Provide back up to HRIS Data Administrator.
Key Competencies and Education
  • Bachelor degree, in HRIS, MIS or any other information systems;
  • 8 years of experience in an HRIS environment;
  • In-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft (Advanced PeopleSoft Query Tool Skills) and Access required; 
  • Knowledge of Project management tools (preferably MS-Project) is an asset; 
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office products; 
  • Excellent Analytical and Problem Solving Skills; 
  • Process improvement oriented, act as a change agent to deliver HRIS solutions;
  • Ability to manage confidential issues, with the highest level of professionalism; 
  • Able to work under minimum supervision and act as a team player;
  • Fully bilingual with good communication skills (both oral and written).
