The Opportunity

One of Canada's fastest growing and trusted pump manufacturers is looking for a PUMP sales professional who is focused on delivering excellence to the EPCs and the Oil & Gas companies in Calgary. They need your API 610 expertise, your passion to exceed your client expectations, and your professionalism to close project business. You will get highly technical and responsive engineering support, empowering management, and a fantastic PUMP product line, including game changing API 610 products. Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Develop, build, manage and enhance relationships with a focus on Calgary EPC and Oil & Gas Producers head offices
    • Creatively researching, soliciting and developing new opportunities focused on projects
    • Getting on bid lists, securing Preferred Vendor status, and being specified on projects
    • Close projects and grow sales
    • Identify opportunities with current clients to provide organic growth
    • On going networking and meetings with the influencers and decision makers
    • Be the educational lead for clients including 'lunch and learns', trade shows and providing supporting technical information
    • Providing Excellence in Customer service
  • Actively communication with team members, and global partners:
    • Support product selection application and quotes
    • Oversee engineered bid proposals including follow-up
    • Provide product and package technical support
  • Develop a business plan, sales forecasts, and support marketing strategies
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the technical applications of the product line. Keep current with new approaches and technologies which can improve and differentiate
  • Incorporation of strategic and creative tactics with regards to complex projects with multiple stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant PUMP industry experience
  • API 610 exposure is preferred
  • A minimum of a 3 year track record, successfully selling pumps and/or related fluid handling equipment in the Calgary Oil and Gas market
  • Great at closing project sales
  • Must be experienced in working with EPCs, and the engineering process, including getting specified, submitting bids
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Proven ability to be proactive and highly motivated, working with a dynamic team
  • Effective written and oral communication skills with a listening and clarification approach
  • Well developed ability to make successful sales presentations at all levels of the clients'
  • Strong business, strategic planning, and account management skills
  • Focused on excellence in client service
  • Great negotiation skills
  • Analytical skills to break down complex issues and solve problems.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Your excellent compensation structure is comprised of a base salary $75,000-$100,000/annum
  • plus an aggressive variable compensation package targeting an additional $50,000-$100,000/annum or more
  • A very competitive vehicle allowance, expenses covered
  • Excellent and comprehensive benefit package with RSP matching
