About Our Client

Our client, a Not for Profit based out of Toronto, is looking for a Bilingual (English/French) Training Business Development Specialist to promote innovative training products. The company offers a supportive, close-knit culture, excellent benefits, and a creative work environment

 

Responsibilities

As part of the Professional Development team, the Training Business Development Specialist will be responsible for performing a diverse range of functions including but not limited to:

  • Support the Director of Professional Development in achieving revenue targets through creation and sales of learning events
  • Strategize and create unique opportunities that allow you to hit subscription and registration targets
  • With the team, support marketing activities to drive increased event registrations
  • Attend learning events, and interact with clients and potential future clients, promoting a variety of solutions
  • Establish and build upon partner relationships, speaking as a subject matter expert in meetings, and at events such as tradeshows
  • As needed, support the Director in acquiring and negotiating contracts
  • Understand the business acumen of alliances and leverage relations with current and potential customers
  • Conduct SWOT analysis of competitors, seeking out real time opportunities to drive sales
  • Oversee the annual event calendar, ensuring it will meet the budget expectations
  • As part of the team, unsure clients receive ongoing support before, during, and after each event
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and tracking of prospects, contacts, and clients
  • Provide and present sales reports to forecast for each event
  • Conduct research on market trends, implementing strategies to achieve targets

 

Qualifications

The following are the minimum requirements to be considered for this role:

  • Comfortable with technology including but not limited to databases, webinar tools, social media tools
  • Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel
  • 100% fluent in both English and French, both written and spoken
  • Experience selling events or training
  • Sound knowledge of Adult Education Principles
  • Prior experience managing a budget
  • Confident, outgoing and articulate – prior experience speaking to groups as a subject matter expert
