Our client is searching for a Project Manager with a good knowledge and experience in Construction Estimating.

The Project Manager will be in charge of overseeing and directing project construction management by communicating directly with client, consultants and sub contractors regarding project status reports and work to ensure the execution of the project adheres to the contract plans and specifications.

Responsibilities:

- Develop the project requirements, cost estimates, project plan and budget
- Negotiation, awarding of contracts and select key personnel and subcontractors for a project
- Maintain good working relationships between contractors, sub-trades and project staff
- Communicate and enforce company safety standards and operating practices
- Represent the clients best interest with a value added approach
- Provide work direction and coaching to assigned field engineering and project staff
- Develop long range goals both personally and for support staff
- Assist management in defining project improvement focus areas
- Communicate and enforce company safety standards and operating practices

Other Skills:

- General knowledge of human resources, health and safety best practices, ensuring education al requirements are continuously updated to stay current with legislatively required changes
- Knowledge of provincial and federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety and municipal by-laws
- Administrative principles and methods such as goal setting, program development, implementation and evaluation
- Responsible for performing in a safe manner by following safety rules, regulations and emergency evacuation procedure
- Analytical skills in collecting and organizing statistical data, analysing, classifying and rating project financial impacts and maintaining accurate records
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Pays close attention to detail and is able to take on a large work load
