Manufacturing Engineer (#274770)

Our Winnipeg Client is in need of a strong Manufacturing Engineer to join their Winnipeg operation.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:
.Planning the efficient and economical manufacture and assembly of components to meet the requirements of the engineering drawings and associated specifications. This will be accomplished using PC-based multi-media CAD software in conjunction with Design Engineering and factory disciplines.
.Creating and issuing fully detailed manufacturing instructions
.Designing tooling to support welding, assembly and material handling.
.Investigating non-conformances to determine root cause: Developing and implementing.
.Corrective actions and continuous process improvements.

.University Degree / Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
.5 years related experience preferably in a farm equipment-manufacturing environment.
.Experience in mechanical equipment/weld fixture design using Parametric Solid Modeling.
.CAD software.
.Experience with Solid Edge and Cosmos Design STAR Stress Analysis Software an asset.
.Experience in MIG welding (mild steel) applications.
.Practical knowledge in the operation and programming of CNC manufacturing equipment.
.Good computer skills using Microsoft Office XP applications.
.Must possess excellent presentation, organization, communication and logical problem solving skills and be a self-starter.
