Leading Canadian Dairy Company is looking for a top tier candidate who is career driven.
The incumbent will fulfill all obligations of a Chief Engineer as defined by the TSSA and Operating Engineers legislation
The main responsibility is to look after the safety and efficient operation of all utilities (Steam Boilers, refrigeration, cooling tower, air compressors, HVAC, etc) within the plant and overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of all plant production equipment (processing, packaging, office, etc).
This position is responsible for the day to day supervision, motivation, work planning, scheduling and co-ordination of all skilled trades within the plant on a 24/7 basis. These include shift engineers, maintenance technicians, millwrights and electricians. Communicate daily maintenance activity to all supervisors
Coordinate with all outside contractors and ensure that work is completed in a safe manner that complies with all necessary manufacturing codes, regulations and standards i.e. H&S, GMPs, HACCP, MSDS

Who we are looking for
2nd Class Operating Engineers Certificate or higher is mandatory
Skilled trades and /or engineering degree
Minimum (5) years of experience in the Chief Operating role, preferably in the dairy/food or beverage industry.
