Duties and Responsibilities -Provide excellent customer service. -Face shelves and place items in the correct position; price merchandise where applicable. -Maintain space allocations as specified by shelf labels. -Rotate stock, remove out of date stock and products (i.e. coupons). -Maintain price integrity of the department regular scan checks, signage. -The constant offering of high quality, safe product to the customer. -Keep up to date on new products. -Participate in promotional, seasonal, and charitable events. -Merchandising seasonal products in a timely manner. -Attend training and vendor up date sessions or seminars when necessary. -Correct prices and labels as needed, keep shelf labels in good condition- make new labels as needed. -Inspect and remove damaged merchandise and get credit accordingly. -Exhibit product knowledge and familiarity with location of products throughout the store. -Receive and sign for all cosmetic deliveries, verify quantities received, correct invoice prices and condition of all products. -Be able to maintain a highly efficient cosmetics section. -Deal with vendors, customers, and co-workers with honesty and integrity. -Responsible to effectively merchandise and maintain the special events area according to the seasons, as needed. -Assist department manager in executing all seasonal programs. -Responsible for maintaining all in-line cosmetics sections throughout the store. -Signage, shelf labelling, pricing, rotation, and cleaning. -Assist department manager with all the re-lines, new and discontinued lines, scan checks, and damages as per company policy. -Maintain quality of merchandise. Qualifications -Able to meet the needs and demands of customers in a friendly, fast and efficient manner. -Outgoing and friendly personality. -Willingness to work with others and respond quickly to change. -Able to work under pressure. -Effectively communicate with colleagues, supervisors and customers. -Genuine concern for customers needs. -Demonstrated merchandising and promotional skills, an asset. -Initiative to think and act quickly to improve Customer service. -Make-up artistry and cosmetology would be an asset.
