Clinical Manager 
Operating Room, PACU & Day Surgery and Ambulatory Procedures

Regular Full-Time

Joseph Brant Hospital is currently recruiting for a full time Manager, Operating Room (OR), Post-Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU), Day Surgery Unit (DSU) and Ambulatory Procedures Units (APU) to join our Surgical Program Team.  The Manager ensures the highest quality of patient care through day-to-day planning and co-ordination of human and material resources and uses clinical knowledge and leadership skills to promote the delivery of quality patient care in the Surgical Program.  The Manger will also pay an instrument role in preparing the program for new Redevelopment and Expansion project. 

In this role, you will utilize exceptional decision-making, mediating, problem solving and change management skills to effectively manage seven (7) Operating Rooms and six (6) Ambulatory Procedure/Endoscopy Rooms.  The Surgical Program performs over 10,000 surgical cases and 13,000 ambulatory procedures annually.     Your outstanding knowledge of the business of surgery, and your strong fiscal management and communication skills will enable you to provide leadership and support to these areas.  You must demonstrate a commitment to patient and family-focused care, evidence-based leading practice, quality of care and quality of staff work life consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Hospital. 

Your qualifications include a Baccalaureate degree, a Masters degree in health-related field is preferred, current Certification of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and membership in relevant professional associations.  You must have 5 years of related clinical experience, and previous management experience is preferred.  Knowledge and experience in Periop/Surgery are essential.
