Hays Property & Facilities is pleased to partner with our Facility Management client to recruit for the position of Operations Manager in a critical environment. Located in downtown Montreal, this position is crucial to success of the location. In this job you will be charged with leading the team and heading up all administration for the site. You will be responsible for achieving all objectives as well as be the go to person for all matters concerning critical environments, whether it be for electrical, mechanical, infrastructure etc.
Additionally you will effectively manage your staff, ensure proper training where required. Be responsible for the complete operation, maintenance, and modification of all building systems including including HVAC, computer room air conditioners, chillers, and plumbing, UPS, DC battery systems, PDU, generators, transfer switches, and switchgear, fire and life safety systems.
To be considered for this position your background must include at least 5-7 years of practical and professional experience in a similar environment, including a hands on technical background in an environment of at least 1 million square feet. You must have an excellent customer service focused attitude. Ideally you must have strong working technical knowledge of critical data center systems, including HVAC, standby emergency power, uninterruptible power supplies, and associated infrastructure. Additionally you should be an Operating Engineer Class 1 or 2, possess a valid Driver's License. Nice to have includes being a Master Electrician or HVAC mechanic.
