The Control Systems Support Lead will lead a team that provides maintenance support for the site third party systems hardware and software. You will be the control system and communications expert. The role will develop, lead and supervise a team of technical professionals to support Horizon in the areas of control systems, fire detection and manufacturing based computing.
This position is based in Fort McMurray, Alberta and is eligible for:

HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?
. Oversee third party system data integrity, including backups and data recovery
. Maintain revision control of hardware and software for all third party control systems
. Maintain close working relationships with maintenance to determine root cause of system alarms and their remediation
. Understand custody transfer and measurement systems with specific reference to witnessing of third party calibrations and meter proving
. Develop control system performance parameters
. Develop manufacturing computing strategies and execute them.
. Set the direction for the reliability and security of computing devices that are executing their work on real time process systems.
. Implement network reliability and security programs for control systems
. Apply policies, standards and practices as they pertain to control systems on the plant site
. Work with stakeholders to provide guidance on interface issues to the control systems
. Manage back up and disaster recovery planning
. Typically 10+ years of related industry experience with Technologist Diploma or equivalent Journeyman's Certificate
. Familiarity with and understanding of:
o Working in a large industrial facility
o Developing reliability strategies
o Foundation Fieldbus and Delta V
o Triconex Safety Instrumented System
o Solving complex technical issues
