Our client, a leader in the transportation industry, has asked Lock Search Group to assist in the search for a Regional Sales Manager for Western Canada. Based out of Vancouver, this newly created position requires an experienced transportation sales leader who has a strong background and understanding of the international freight forwarding and customs brokerage.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Managing sales activity for assigned territories.
  • Managing a team of Sales Executives throughout Western Canada.
  • Continually train and develop sales team.
  • Lead weekly sales meetings as well as provide coaching, training and motivation.
  • Work closely with National Sales/Training Managers to implement sales strategies and ensure training procedures are followed.
  • Perform sales calls and work closely with strategic accounts.
  • Responsible for monitoring and analyzing sales goals.


  • Must have a University Degree (International Business preferred).
  • Experience in transportation, specifically freight forwarding, ocean, air and customs brokerage services required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading a sales team in the transportation sector.
  • Must possess strong leadership, training and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire and lead a professional sales team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Approximately 25-35% travel required.
