Prince George, BC, CANADA
Share This Job:

A well-known, Western Canadian Engineering Consultancy is seeking a Branch Manager for a new office in Northern BC, based out of either Prince George or Prince Rupert. The company has an established client base and a number of ongoing projects in the area, presently being managed from other offices across the province. This job will suit an experienced Civil Engineer who has the capability to grow both the business, manage existing projects and is keen to commit to the company on a long term basis.

With technical support from other offices across BC and Alberta, you will manage and review the preparation of designs, reports, studies and contract documents associated with various medium and large scale infrastructure projects. You will have proven experience in project managing multiple projects and substantial experience with public and private sector client interaction. Ideally, you will have previous experience in leading and growing a business, however, those with the desire and ability to hit the ground running and prove themselves in the role will also be considered.

A minimum of 10+ years of experience in the civil engineering area is required, preferable in the areas of municipal engineering, land development, water resources or highways infrastructure. Previous asset management would also be an advantage. Due to the nature of the role and the importance of relationship building, you will have strong people skills, and a strong commitment to remaining in the Northern BC region in the medium to long term. Your responsibility will be to manage, grow and diversify the business operations in the region, develop strong and lasting client relationships and building up a core team of experienced engineers to work across the region.

If you are an engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in one of BC's major development hubs and have the desire to work in a job that gives you day to day control over decisions that affect the direction of the business, then this may be the right position for you. A very competitive compensation package is on offer for the right candidate. Hit apply now to be considered for this role.
All applications are held in the strictest confidence and only those shortlisted will be contacted.
