Manager- Category & Shopper Development – Consumer Products
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Category & Shopper Development N. America, the Manager- Category & Shopper Development will manage category leadership functions for assigned customers and have the ability to develop and integrate retailer, consumer, shopper, and category data into a selling story to produce profitable business results.
The Manager- Category & Shopper Development will be responsible to lead the development of account-specific category plans and reviews by incorporating market, shopper, customer & consumer insights to inform tactical Pricing, Promotion, Product Assortment, Placement and Shopper Marketing strategic recommendations. The Manager C&SD will conduct recurring and ad hoc category analysis (e.g.: category trends, shopper purchase behaviors, etc.) for the purpose of opportunity identification, 5P recommendations, and performance monitoring. Helps “package and share” key recommendations in addition to answering inquiries from head office and customer teams.
2 to 4 years of experience preferably within Category Management & Shopper Insights, Sales or Trade Marketing; preferably within fast-moving Consumer Packaged Goods categories;
Demonstrated expertise in Category Management & Shopper Insights;
Familiarity with syndicated market measurements data and custom consumer and shopper qualitative and quantitative research techniques.
