Job Opportunity

As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for designing great experiences for job seekers and employers. You’ll be part of our UX/UI team, which sets and maintains best practices for design and front-end code across our Agile teams. You’ll also work within one of those Agile teams, collaborating with business owners, developers, QA specialists and others. Your day-to-day role will focus on researching, designing, and testing the flows and interfaces that will produce great experiences for our users.

Here's what you'll get to do:

  • Start by asking what the user needs, and why. You’ll be responsible for articulating that again and again.
  • Conduct usability testing and other user research.
  • Design how users interact with our website and our services. This includes communicating the design through task flow diagrams, wireframes, and mockups.
  • You’ll need some knowledge of HTML/CSS—on some occasions, you’ll help code the UI.
  • Participate in the work of your Agile team, including meeting for daily standups, estimating work, and making shared commitments.
  • Demonstrate attention to every detail of the UI, down to the pixel, and the letter, and the markup that cuts down on the page load time, because that’s part of the user experience too.

Here's what you bring to the table:

  • We can train you in certain areas of UX design, but you’ll need a baseline knowledge of the field. Ideally, you’ve done UX design for at least 2 years.
  • You have some knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
  • You have visual design skills (in other words, you can polish your wireframes into final mockups)
  • You have worked on a responsive web design
  • You have worked in an Agile environment and are comfortable collaborating with others (developers, QA, product owners) and making commitments to your teammates.
  • You would stand out if you have any of the following:
  • Strong HTML/CSS/JS development skills
  • Experience working with ASP.Net, Angular.js or Knockout.js
  • Proficiency in French
  • Please be prepared to show a portfolio of your work and explain your problem-solving process.

* This position is a 12 month contract
