Reporting to the Field Service Manager, the Equipment Consultant performs the following tasks:
Schedules and manages the demonstration requests of salespersons as required;
Cleans, tests and prepares machinery and accessories required to perform demonstrations. Performs minor repairs/adjustments;
Safely delivers, ships and receives all electro-mechanical equipment to demonstration location(s) in accordance to company policies and procedures;
Performs demonstrations and assists in demonstration process by providing value-added technical support and information;
Maintains a high level of personal knowledge in respect to electro-mechanical equipment, and provides ongoing training to the salesforce and our customers;
Maintains efficiency in technology, such as BBX, order entry, service warranty and distribution system in order to proficiently meet and exceed customer and employee needs;
Communicates and enforces all aspects of the demonstration policy, guidelines and procedures to all parties involved;
Has control over inventory and other company assets at all times. Reports any damage, abuse or theft which may occur.
Must have strong technical aptitude;
Must be outgoing with good selling and communication skills;
Must be self-sufficient as well as a team player;
The person must be able to lift up to 80-100 pounds (battery replacement, equipment loading and off-loading);
Post-secondary courses in Electro-Mechanical, Electricity and/or Mechanics would be considered an asset.
Location: Province of Alberta
Permanent position; eligibility to the Company’s group insurance plan after three (3) months of service and to the pension plan after one (1) year of continuous service.
