This role is responsible for calculating and processing vendor billings covering allowances, returns and marketing income, working with various teams within Finance to ensure all dollars owed to Walmart are billed in a timely manner as per corporate policy. The analyst will be the expert on this process ensuring all teams involved are following procedures while working to improve overall the overall process.
Accountable for calculating and processing billings for allowances to vendors, all returns and marketing income, ensuring all monies are processed in a timely manner as per corporate policy. Analyst will partner and build relationships with Category Managers, Marketing, Returns and Finance to ensure billings are up to date and accurate.

Document allowance/CO-OP billings processes and work with Tax, Finance and ISD teams on continuous improvement to those processes, to create an efficient, accurate method for Walmart to collect funds owed to the business. Key focus on complex tax billings, proactively working with Category Managers to coordinate allowance details for current and a substantial increase in new vendor agreements and creating an effective/accurate collections process with Marketing and 3rd parties.

Prepare, analyze and provide management with bi-weekly reporting related to allowances, returns and marketing income enabling accurate monthly forecasting of G.P. and Other Income.

Support monthly/quarterly/year-end accounting activities, including preparing journal entries, reporting and analysis of allowances, returns and marketing income and other business activities as needed.

Train and guide team and new associates on process for billings ensuring a complete understanding and adherence to business timelines and policy.

Work with finance teams to review balance sheet reconciliations related to allowances, CO-Ops and Returns inventory to ensure accuracy, proper backup and investigate, recommend and ensure variances/adjustments required are completed in a timely manner.

Support and execute Accounts Payable manual process for exception handling of uploads, vendor communications and reconciliations

Participate in financial projects and ad hoc requests as assigned.
Minimum Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 1-3 years of experience required
