As mandated by the AMEC Engineering Systems Support (ESS) Group, as a broadly deployed application support specialist, the Intelligent Plant Design
environment which provides the common Computer Aided Design platform that enables work sharing using a harmonized suite of CAD solutions and AMEC approved content.
Thisindividual is responsible for administrating the AVEVA Smart P&ID
environment, ensuring standard practices are maintained in project setup,
execution and support, working with project managers, discipline managers and ES/CAD users to match application functionality to project needs; consulting with clients to identify specific project requirements and deliverables;providing input in the budgeting process to support ESS requirements including;support, training and standard project execution models. Collaborate with Information Systems (IS) to ensure optimal service & systems performance for the office. Participating in both office and region-wide user group formation and feedback for key applications (e.g. CAD, 3-D design, Plant Systems) and communicate problems /solutions with counterparts in other regional
offices and with the Directors of Project Systems and the Business Groups.
Engineering Systems & project execution tasks; providing front-line office and project ES/CAD user support for all regional use of the Intelligent Design Applications (AVEVA).
This includes involvement in the setup of project catalogs, Specifications, symbology directories, workflows, and limited access user groups for confidential projects. Client liaising and coordination to ensure ES/CAD deliverable requirements. Conduct project ES/CAD kickoff and project execution coordination. Coordinate with local IS technician for hardware and software requirements. Address Help Desk responses to cover advanced user applications and support requirements; provide operations with any additional services needed to satisfy project requirements.
Review, test and implement custom application software including maintenance, training
Coordinate and provide oversight with project or departmental CAD and ES contacts to insure company standards and projects needs are met in project setup, configurations of hardware and software applications, and project close-out including deliverables, electronic transfers and file translations.
Coordinate the implementation of approved software for standard applications. Prepare a plan, including training and testing considerations for the installation of any multi-user software, including upgrades. Assist in providing training for users and system/monitor installation as required.
Work with the Southeast Region Engineering Systems Leadership and Engineering
Manager to identify technology training needs, find cost-effective methods,
monitor implementation, and evaluate effectiveness.
Collaborate with IT regarding research and development of new technologies including database and information management, Internet, Extranet and Intranet methodologies, expert engineering systems, etc.
Collaborate with IT to ensure optimal overall group performance and ensure service to Operations is timely and cost effective.
Must have at least 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably industry experience
