Service Representative, Group & Business Insurance - Toronto - 1412284

Responsibilities include:
  • Provide face-to-face and/or web training to Administrators on all issues that affect the operation of their plan and ensure that quality is maintained.
  • Conduct internal research required to solve specific client issues.
  • Ensure that all required documents necessary for the set-up of a new contract or amendment are complete according to Desjardins Group and Business standards.
  • For groups less than 250 lives, coordinates the implementation process and acts as a liaison with other relevant departments. Larger account implementation will be managed in conjunction with an Implementation Consultant.
  • Explain procedures and amendments related to each plan.
  • Participate in finalist presentations and conduct employee meetings.


  • 4+ years of experience with an in-depth knowledge of group insurance products and service related issues.
  • Committed to providing the best in customer service and bring to our team solid planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess strong interpersonal organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Possess good presentation skills.
  • Effective decision-making and knowledge of MS Office round out your credentials.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle is required as occasional travel is a component of this position.
  • LOMA, HIAA or CEBS courses will be an asset.
