Job Opportunity

Located at the Garden Hill Nursing Station in the Island Lake Regional Renal Healthcare centre, the incumbent is required to perform dialysis in this primary care facility. The incumbent is encourage to teach renal health prevention to the patients and their families as well as daily living with Renal failure.  The position encompasses dialysis program delivery, community education and some primary care services.  The incumbent provides advice and support to other primary care and public health nurses and communicates with WRHA Local Centre Dialysis Program in Winnipeg, Nephrologists, Family Physicians, social workers and visiting consultants in the provision of services and follow-up as appropriate.

Must be a Registered Nurse with current CRNM registration. Two years clinical nursing experience required, preferably in a northern clinic or related health care setting. Current BLS-HCP level C certification Sensitivity and Knowledge of Aboriginal language and culture would be an asset.
