Project Engineer, Municipal Infrastructure

CIMA is currently seeking applications for the position of Project Engineer, Municipal Infrastructure, for our Kitchener office in Waterloo Region. In this position you will be responsible for providing study and design services for municipal infrastructure projects in Ontario including water and wastewater and/or road reconstruction.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the municipal engineering environment in Ontario, and have a track-record of successful project delivery. Opportunity to work on both water and wastewater projects and/or road reconstruction projects will be provided.
Prepare environmental assessments/master plans, design briefs, reports, technical specifications and approvals for municipal infrastructure projects
Complete conceptual and detailed design of projects related to water supply, storage and distribution, wastewater collection and pumping and/or road reconstruction
Coordinate design team activities, contract document preparation and tendering
Maintain project planning documentation including schedules, budgets, cost control processes and work procedures
Liaise with clients, government and regulatory authorities to address their needs/comments, and guide a project through approvals processes
Contribute to project proposals and presentations
Develop and enhance client relationships and business growth
A university degree or equivalent qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng.) and member of Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO)
At least 4 years relevant experience
Demonstrated success and expertise in project planning, municipal infrastructure design
Experience in hydraulic analysis for large distribution and/or collection systems
Proficient in the preparation of conceptual and detailed design drawings and reports, contract document preparation and tendering
Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary project team environment
Solid technical writing skills demonstrated through experience in writing reports and proposals
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
