VIA Rail Canada Inc., is currently seeking 10 candidates to work on board its trains as SENIOR SERVICE ATTENDANT.
The home-based terminal of these employees will be Etobicoke.
As a Senior Service Attendant on board our trains, you will provide excellent customer-service and ensure the comfort and safety of our passengers at all times. You will greet them and assist them with their luggage when they embark and disembark the train. You will consistently deliver high quality customer service through the serving of meals and beverages and through the selling of snacks and refreshments.
You will also load, store, rotate and unload supplies, maintain cars and work areas in a clean and tidy condition and perform other related duties.
We offer a complete paid 5 weeks training session ($11 per hour). The training will begin October 27th 2014. This training session has to be successfully completed before obtaining a position as Senior Service Attendant.

A fluently BILINGUAL (FRENCH AND ENGLISH) team player, you enjoy working with the public and are able to be away from home for extended periods of time (up to 5 days). You have a High School Diploma and a minimum of one-year experience in customer services, ideally in the hospitality or tourism industry. You are able to lift weights up to 23 Kg.
Variable and on call, every day of the week including the week-end and holidays. No number of hours/week guaranteed. You must be able to show up as early as 4:00 a.m. at our Toronto Maintenance Center located at 50, Drummond Street, Etobicoke, M8V 4B5.
