POSITION: Sr. Manager, Commercial Training and Development
LOCATION: Toronto, ON


Our client, a leader in research, development, and commercialization of pharmaceuticals, is looking to add a dynamic and motivated individual to their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In charge of commercial training across all Business Units, including new hire training, national sales meetings, new product launches, selling skills training and disease/product training
  • Work collaboratively with Sales and Marketing leadership in the development and execution of training initiatives that support the Brand Plan of Action
  • Develop and implement training programs for the Commercial organization and additional affiliated employees as needed
  • Conduct needs assessments, identifying targeted participant characteristics, and soliciting cross-functional feedback before finalizing design and strategy
  • Offers and implement solutions for bridging gaps between current organizational capabilities and needs
  • Partners with departments, subject matter experts and key stakeholders to identify training needs, improve training solutions and lead change initiative implementation
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure curriculum is current, effective, engaging, and complies with regulatory guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS Required, MBA a plus or equivalent experience
  • Pharmaceutical and/or bio-pharmaceutical experience, minimum of eight years
  • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to align cross-functionally and work with at least three different therapeutic business units and a proven track record
  • Experience in directing the design, development, assessment, and ongoing management of specialty training, continuing education and new hire training programs
  • Sales Management and Sales Trainer experience
  • Excellent written communication skills, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills
  • Previous vendor selection and management experience
