Description
Reporting to the Manager, Group Disability the Bilingual Disability Call Centre Facilitator is responsible for the following:

  • Receives inbound calls from policyholders relative to new claim set up
  • Conducts interviews with policyholders in order to obtain relevant information pertinent to the new claim.
  • Verifies plan member coverage in Tango.
  • Registers and sets up new claims in TIDE (DDR creation).
  • On completion of the above tasks, transfers new claims to Case Managers for adjudication.
  • Answers telephone calls from clients with short-term disability, long-term disability and life insurance coverage.
  • Provides clients with information on all contract-related questions regarding their disability insurance claims.
  • This work requires strong cooperation with the team of Case managers and the rehabilitation area.
  • The incumbent will utilize relevant computer systems that relate to several types of contracts, in particular TIDE and TANGO.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications
  • Fully Bilingual: English / French.
  • Post secondary education and/or three years' relevant experience in the disability insurance industry.
  • The incumbent must possess excellent judgment, the ability to work independently, and a sense of responsibility, and must also have good communication skills and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
  • The ability to manage priorities.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills required.
