Why won't my job description paste into the text editor?
A lot of the programs we use to create documents (such as Microsoft Word) add in their own formatting that gets picked up by our text editor.
This can be easily fixed by using Notepad to remove all the formatting.Simply follow this easy step-by-step guide:
1) Open Notepad
To access Notepad, go to your Start menu and select:
•All Programs >> AccessoriesFrom the Accessories menu, select Notepad.
2) Copy to Notepad
Copy your text from Word to Notepad.
In your Word document:
•click CTRL A to select all text.
•click CTRL C to copy the selected text. Return to your Notepad file:
•click CTRL V to paste the selected text into Notepad.
Note: You will notice that all formatting from your Word document will have been removed. Also, ensure that all bullet points have been removed.
