Unlimited Postings » AutoPost

Customers who have chosen the AutoPost option have provided us with the location of the job postings on their own web site. Three times per week an automated software application goes to this part of their web site and picks up those jobs for posting on workopolis.com

Q: How long will my job posting run?
A: For as long as the job is posting on your website.

Q: How many jobs can I post?
A:You are entitled to an unlimited number of postings

Q: I also place job ads in both the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail. I know that these jobs get repurposed for workopolis.com. This means that the same ad is posted 3 times. How can I prevent this?
A: We can suppress all job ads coming from these newspapers. If you want this option or more information regarding this option, please contact Sales Support

Q: Do I need a Username and Password to post a job?
A: Since this is an automated process, no Username and Password is required to post your jobs. You will be issued and Username and Password so that you can enter the ScreeningRoom.

Q: What is the ScreeningRoom?
A: The ScreeningRoom™ is the place where we collect all the resumés from the applicants who have applied to your postings. The ScreeningRoom™ has many features which allow you to sort, filter, search, rank and shortlist the applicants. For more on the ScreeningRoom™ try the following QuickTour. More Help information is also available under Applicant List and My Shortlist.

Q: How soon will my job posting be posted on the workopolis community?
A: The automatic software runs 3 times per week on the following schedule:

Pick-Up from Web site
Monday
Wednesday
Friday
Posted on workopolis.com
Wednesday
Friday
Sunday

Jobs must be posted before 5 p.m. ET on the Pick-Up day to be included. When posted the jobs will have the Pick-up day's date.

Q: How long can my job posting be?
A: As long as you would like it to be. A well-written posting should give the candidate sufficient information to determine if they have a skills-fit. In a competitive job market, the job posting should also give valuable candidates a compelling reason to join your industry and specifically, your company.

Q: How can I find my job posting?
A: Do a keyword search and type in your company name. This is an easy way to find all jobs your company has posted.

Q: How do I ensure that my job posting appears in a FastTrack section?
A: To ensure that your job posting can be searched through the FastTracks, use the FastTrack search to look at the where you want your posting to appear. Use the same keywords in your job posting that are used for that FastTrack search. Note that many FastTrack searches target job title only. This means that you may have to use those terms within the job title of your posting. You can always describe further within the text of the posting the details of the position.

Our FastTracks are a very useful area for job seekers as it contains the most commonly or typically searched jobs, but it is not the entirety of workopolis.com. Job seekers also use the many search options available on the main search page.

Q: What is the difference between Job Category and Industry?
A: Industry represents the primary focus of your company. Job Category is specific to the position you are trying to fill.

Q: Do I have to use the Job Categories listed on workopolis.com?
A: The category is a standard description assigned to the job itself. It is designed to assist job seekers in locating similar types of jobs. If you use different Job Categories they will not appear on the Search Page and it may hinder some job seekers from locating your posing(s).
