Chefs get more support from the business over shift managers and waiters.

Never EVER BECOME A SHIFT MANAGER, you will be working for them for free and under budget, for £11.50 a hour is a joke, with no tips or appreciated from the managers and area manager and head office.

I won’t recommend, unless you’re a chef.

The management system taught creates a 'them' and 'us' approach to staffing. Chefs are not properly looked after.   Restaurants are constantly understaffed.

i have 2 stars for work life balance because they barely gave me any substantial shifts so i had loads of free time. 
three hour pathetic shifts so they can avoid having to give you food. (if you work 4+ they have to offer you a free pizza) 
stuck up managers. 

Great people to work with everyday was different the customers are great to. Friendly and lots of families so great to work with children. Real buzz about working in a fast paced industry.

The typical day at work can vary between very relaxed and very busy all depending on what is happening at the restaurant. the hardest part of my job is probably remembering what goes on each pizza/salad

Can't complain, pay was good, could do more hours if I wanted to get some more money. Managers and supervisors were good people. Fast paced sometimes a bit stressful having to manage lots of tables but that's the food industry. 

Was very happy at Pizza Express, life- work balance, met many great people and management is fair. High standards but they tell you how to do everything ang you just have to follow the rules.

Amazing place to work, good higher management and love my staff. They provide you everything and extra. The only problem is the salary but it is always negotiatable,

Stressful but lovely people to work with. Good team spirit as well as food on shift perks which was a personal favourite. Learning experience behind the kitchen as a chef was also really fun.
