It was a great environment when I started a year ago. 
Now, not so much. 
A lot of issues are swept under the rug, and some employees are accused of being “under the influence” while on shift, but there are many reasons why some people would think that….I know of two employees who have ADHD and are not currently medicated for it. 
There is a very discriminatory attitude about the one house,
I cannot comment on the others 

The work itself is super easy and rewarding helping individuals with special needs (duties are very similar to care aid work) and most of the staff are great to work with. The clients are great too but can sometimes become aggressive or stubborn which can be stressful. Management is good but can be very nit picky about silly, small things. It would be convenient to have a shift app to use to pick up casual shifts but instead they offer you what they have and you have to fill out availability way in advance. 

There has been substantial change over the past 6 months and I think it is for the best. The management team really cares about the wellbeing of their staff, and most important, our clients/residents. I feel heard and feel like I have a safe space to turn to. Some senior staff are unhappy that they are being held accountable, but I think it's for the best of the organization. Benefits and pension are unmatched - definitely worth your time to work here. 

Worked here a while now. Mostly good co-workers, learning a lot. My supervisor holds people accountable, which some people complain about, but it helps keep the work place from growing poorly. The hours are sometimes negative, with shift rotations in the evening, but I like supporting the clients because it is rewarding so it makes up for that. 

Could’ve used more training and employees aren’t valued. Raises are rarely given and the pay rate is lower than everywhere else, except for the non union programs and houses. At first it seems to be a great company to work for but it changes the minute a higher up doesn’t like you.  Or they don’t want to take the time to train you properly. The clients are wonderful and there’s a lot to be learned 

It’s like a never ending episode of mean girls, as previously stated by other employees. They gossip, and pick on you if you’re not in the ‘in’ crowd. You don’t feel safe speaking up, regarding anything. Obviously favouritism amongst staff and the clients. People have removed their family from their care based on their treatment by staff and management. For now, it’s a decent paying job, but I wont be staying much longer. 

Extremely toxic work environment. Gossiping and mean behaviour is rampant with management and staff. Staff and management will talk poorly about you behind your back and to your face. There is clear favouritism and bending of the rules for certain people. Extremely stressful place to work and will negatively affect your overall health. 

Gossiping and scheming, including management. Anyone threatening status quo of supervisors will be made to leave. Medication errors are covered up. Medication is given without prescription and purposefully not documented. Clients receiving medical procedures without consent. Management is unapproachable. Communication is spotty.

For the first time in 25 years of service work I feel valued and appreciated within this company. The entire mission of people first creates a warm and fulfilling life for the people we serve and I cannot express how meaningful this is to me

A very toxic Managment with no respect they fire you without even informing or giving you any logical explanation.very harsh circumstances they are not at all good with communicating with employees. They are firing on the basis of their personal perception about someone and states you unfit to work with them.
