A typical day for me includes collaborating with sales and operations teams on solving problems of all kinds. I spend time working with different departments thinking about ways to get better and having some fun along the way. I have learned it takes a team to affect change and to seek multiple perspectives in order to get at the best decision. Management wants your input, ideas and concerns tabled so we can tackle real issues facing the business, rather its customer needs, competitive changes, or internal processes, they want to know what you think. The culture is fun, its competitive so we have to be efficient and agile, but the workplace takes the edge of with a great sense of humor and a strong does on collaboration.

I’ve been with the company for a number of years, and it’s one of the few places where your voice actually matters. Leadership genuinely listens, and there's a strong focus on collaboration, personal development, and results. It’s fast-paced and challenging in the best way — you’re encouraged to take ownership, think creatively, and grow beyond your role. The team culture is supportive, and wins are celebrated together. I’ve learned more here than anywhere else and feel proud to be part of a company that values people just as much as performance.

If you enjoy working as part of a close knit Team, you appreciate achieving goals collectively and you like driving a Kenworth truck, you've found yourself a Great job! In my 2 years working at 49 North I saw more of our beautiful Province than ever before. I learned a great deal about the business and I was grateful for the time invested in me and my role. Meeting people everyday delivering a world class product gave me immense satisfaction.  Most importantly, I am thankful for the friendships that I made there.

Its nice working for a company where the employers generally care about their employees.  Having the flexibility of getting away if you have a sick kid, or a crisis that you have to deal with outside of work is a huge bonus.   

The work environment is friendly and supportive, and there is always a lot of laughter and banter which makes it fun.  

There is also an emphasis on continual improvement and continual learning through training both hands on and course based.

Amazing work culture, very friendly coworkers, the owners are down to earth and very approachable. I can’t speak for every branch but the Lethbridge warehouse is full of great people that make it easy to want to come to work. The manager is flexible if you need time off for appt’s/etc. and is always willing to work with you. It is not uncommon for ex-employees to rejoin the staff, and I believe that is because the company culture is so positive.  

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part is being treated with respect , everyone is really positive and the job is fun , learning new things everyday and pay is decent. The best job I've ever had.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It gets busy at times but not really stressful 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very positive very respectful  and fun

Can't say enough good things about 49 North. I have been given every opportunity to succeed and rewarded for hard work. The culture is extremely professional but comfortable. 

The owners make you feel like you're important, they are very approachable and understand the need for work/life balance. 

Working with this company has been the best decision I ever made. The owners are down to earth and genuinely care about the employees. The managers are amazing and want to see you succeed at your position. The support is top notch and the work environment is like working with family, the ones you actually want to be around. I can't imagine being anywhere else! 

fast-paced organization that collaborates well and thrives on teamwork. the people are great and everyone is very helpful and supportive. The management team are very down to earth and approachable people, it's a really great culture. 10/10 would recommend 

It's a small  family owned company  that treats  their employees like their part of the team and have total respect for the 2 brothers  who owned it. And my manager  and direct supervisor  are incredible  .they look at it as our company  .If I succeed  they succeed. I would recommend this company to anyone. And I've worked  for huge and small companies in my life this place is home
