Do yourself a favour and don't work for 7 acres.

They fire people who stand up for their basic labour rights, when it's convenient for the company and call it "structure changes" then hire a whole new crew within months.

They promise you the world, convince you to quit your job, then just as your getting comfortable they strip everything that was good away from you.  

Upper Management doesn't know how to even grow weed.  All decisions made are not in benefit of the workers or the weed.  
Their consistency putting workers health at risk without a care.  They exposed one department to mold for months without a mask or even thinking of testing the air quality.  

Your typical day would start off by coming in at least 20 mins before you scheduled time to start just to get to your locker room and change, then depending on what department your in, you may have to come earlier to be able to make it to work on time.  

I did learn a lot about weed FROM other co-workers.  The most enjoyable part of working with 7 acres is the regular workers where amazing people.  

“Management” have no idea how to run a company. 
Lots of favouritism. Some senior and regular team leads are horrible. Upper management has zero clue about how to run things and only come into the facility when they run out of coffee. Can't rely on HR or trust them. Very high turnover rate. If you land a bad team with a worst team lead you'll regret coming here. Getting high is fine. Seems like everyone does it just to get through the day. Upper management seem to be all retired Bruce Power employees using the company to stroke their egos and add to their retirement plan. The only way they can get away with the poor treatment is because people have nowhere else to go.

Very stressful situation and top heavy. Theres no one to talk to as issues are swept under the rug or you are blatantly lied to, right to your face. If you speak the truth or they don't like you they will find a way to get you out/bully you to quit. Moving up in this company is based on who you know. There are many WSIB cases.

Be prepared to put on your seatbelt...because it is going to be a bumpy rollercoaster ride.
Being a new market the company is adjusting to the market and major changes need to be made as it is very expensive to operate a greenhouse/processing plant.

Horrible upper management. 
When I started in 2019, upper management was amazing. They were very focused on work/life balance, a harmonious relaxed work culture and providing opportunities for promotion and education. The CEO was fired by The Supreme Cannabis company, and the replacement put an end to this. I feel sad for the people who still work there.

If I could give this workplace a zero I would.If you like being disrespected all day work here. All of upper management is a funny joke. People don’t leave jobs they leave managers .upper management is so clicky that unless you like taking it up the as s they won’t even look at you in the hallway

Not a reliable place. No communication and constant lies from upper management. Terrible workplace morale. They promote people just to let them go because there salary is too high. Promise job security one week and let you go the next week. It's a shame because before Canopy bought the facility, it was a great place to work. 

7acres will treat you like garbage. The lack of communication in a facility with hundreds of employees is atrocious. They make decisions that are not only counterproductive to growth of the company but they continue to have poor sanitary care and they even promote and value their employees who are the problem.

Working at 7 acres has been an enjoyable experence so far.  If you keep your head down and do your job, you'll be fine. Don't get involved in the drama that can be created by some toxic individuals.  Just go in and do your job to the best of your ability.

Unfortunately it very disorganized, managers have not been trained properly, Managers are inaccessible to there team, inexperienced people get promoted to the manager/Team Leads without proper knowledge.
Lots of bullying and unfair treatment from hire up. schedule changes often no life balance.
