My first year working with this company was a bit rocky but isn’t that with any professional relationship? Getting to know “one another “ takes time!!  But now, I have been working with 911 Indistrial for almost 6 years now! There’s loyalty that’s been earned now! On both sides. I also work for a provincial ambulance service. They allow a perfect balance between both working for them and my provincial ambulance job! They do their best to make sure your working and prepared, despite how “unstable” the oil patch can be with last min jobs coming in or getting cancelled. 
I have a personal experience to share as well...I put in for a lateral transfer with the provincial ambulance service I worked for and got the transfer way before I could find a place to live in that area. 911 industrial just happen to have a staff house in the area I was moving to and the company owners not only offered to give me a room in their staff house to live in for free (key locked off just for me) they also offered to store my apartment belongings free of charge as well where I’d have access 24/7 to!! 911 isn’t a corporate giant  it’s family owned company giving back to the community when ever they can!! Yes every company has politics but when you get down right to passion this company will do its best to make everyone happy no matter what! The oil patch had booms and busts remember that and that can’t be blamed on the 3rd party companies for that (medical industrial companies). I have been loyal and solid with this company for almost 6 years and low and behold they have been solid back. That’s a perfect partnership for sure!
 If your just looking to only work a job to just make the most money as fast as possible while sitting on your butt, working in the pre hospital profession,  whether industrial or city or rural, this is not the job for you! Passion had to be there in this industry!  It should never be about who pays the most, it’s about consistentcey and quality (like we give our patients). And I’ll tell ya there has been many times I stressed dispatch out with changing gear, trucks and what not to fit my needs and they come through with no problem every time. Remember when picking an industrial, regional or provincial ambulance service your giving your license and professionalism and they are giving you their resources! It has to be the best to do your best for your patient!  It’s not always about the money! Your license can be taken away faster than you can blink!! You want a company looking  after you! I am writing this review as a former employee.
  I have worked in the oilfield for a little more than 11 years, and for most of that part I used to work for more than one company at a time.  That is to say, i would work a month here, a month there, and sometimes even a month waaaay up there.  That was the best way to support myself and my lifestyle, because as some of you may know, most companies do not have long term projects.  It wasn't bad per se, but it always kept me wondering, where would my next cheque come from.  
  At one point after refusing most of my regular companies for work at the start of the season in favor a managerial position, i found myself unemployed, and needing work immediately.  That is when 911 Industrial called me.  Jeff was upfront from the get go.  He told me, that i would be making less as a day rate but he would keep my busy so at the end of the year, i would see a difference in my cheques compared to other companies.  I accepted.  It took a bit of adjusting, but a couple of months in i got into a good grove....a grove that lasted 5.5 years.  That is longer than any company that i have ever worked for before. 
  And throughout those years 911 treated me so well.  Fair.  With Respect. And because of that its annoying to hear former employees trash them online because they were let go or werent getting enough work.  I personally know of a few of those, that were lazy, entitled, and with a bad attitude all around, and because of that, certain oil companies or consultants wouldnt want them on site.  But said employees, instead of taking responsibility for their actions, chose the cowards way out to write negative reviews, under the guise of anonymity, to perpetuate a lie.  If this company was so bad you wouldnt have the veterans working still for this company that have 5+ years.
  The conclusion is this: If you are a hard working medic, with respect for your uniform, your equipment and with pride in your profession, you will find a good home with 911.  Just give it a chance.  You will see a lot of good things in the long run.

I have worked for this company twice, first for 3.5 years, until a slow down, and currently for 6.5 years, I am planning to retire with this company.  As a field employee, the flexibility is great.  If I want time off, as long as I book in advance, no problem.  The work for me has been steady, I work my 3 week on 1 week off hitch, throughout the year.  Of course, it slows down during spring breakup and fall freezeup, but nobody works during those times, as the roads are impassable for heavy vehicles.  The management is great to work with, and is available 24/7.  The fellow field employees are also great to work with, and I enjoy passing on my knowledge to new hires.  
There is a daily job bonus, when you have become dual registered in Alberta and BC.
All in all, it has been an awesome place to work!

A typical day at work is average for the industry.  The management does not care about the employee's.  They do not pay for travel time, and you will not find this out until you get your pay check.  If you have a problem with your pay check they will not follow through.  It is quite a struggle to get your pay back once it has been deducted.  
You are expected to pre-trip your MTC, and wait at one of the crew houses for work.
The crew houses are not meant to be a place of comfort.  I worked 3 weeks travelling to and from location.  The beds are from a used discount store.  When it was mentioned how uncomfortable the beds are nothing was mentioned or rectified.  
There is a shortage of rooms, so you are expected to sleep in the same room as a stranger, and, or sleep in the laundry room.
There are many other companies in this industry.  I would not recommend this company.

I've worked with 911 for several years now and I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with them. They have a new bonus structure that has been paying big money to their field staff every year, their pay is on par with competitors, but them seem to have much more consistent work than what I have been hearing from others. 

Most of their management has been promoted from field staff levels, they have a very thorough continuing education program that has given me all of the credits I need every year for my licenses, and they have been very accommodating with my schedule. 

The industry can be rough and fluctuates heavily, but you can hardly blame a company for that. All I can say is that I work hard, so they keep my busy, and I have never felt like I was just a number.

Company has many issues due to management and job contract.
Many employees are waiting for work and not being paid for wait time. Contract states we work 3 weeks on and 1 week off but many employees are sitting with no pay for 1-2 weeks of the 3 weeks on shift. 
Most enjoyable part of the job is meeting all the new hires because they constantly hire new people even when there is no work.
During the hiring process management promises many things for example performance bonuses and training but is never delivered. 
performance bonuses and vacation pay is included in your daily rate which is misleading.

They were unable to provide enough shifts to make ends meet. They did not honor the 80 shift salary increase despite excellent employee review. This caused significant frustration on my side. They came across as a company who did not value their staff, instead made excuses as to why the salary increase couldn't be done despite being told it would happen.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Care about employees. Helpful with employee concerns.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Constant sitting. Nee to make sure you bring stuff to do.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Family. Encouraging and helping people to be better.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Sitting and can be a very lonely job.

Poorly managed and low wages compared to other companies
Bad staff houses and forced to sit and not work even if there wasn't work.
