The day starts with getting changed in a puddle.
I learned people can arm wrestle at work resulting in a broken arm with zero discipline.
Upper management does not support their employees, often making rude or disrespectful comments to workers. 
Workplace culture is not good, safety certainly takes a back seat. Everything is about cost saving measures and neglecting to operate a buisness properly in the interest of saving money.
Lunchrooms are gross, washrooms are in unsanitary condition. PPE supplies are lacking. Drinking water is stored outside in sunlight. Camps are horrible, one is a mouldy disaster and the other has rude staff and a very poor selection of food. 

Hardest part of the job is leaving family to come up here, knowing you are not appreciated.

Most enjoyable part of thhe job is the beautiful scenery.

Mine in care and maintenance, if not managed properly they will be laying off again. Very disorganized and no clear direction from upper management except save costs. Lots of safety incidents with no real investigation or actions.
Coworkers are great, not sure how long they will stay with the company if things do not improve. No pension plan, no good quality PPE, always waiting for equipment or supplies. Below average wages for remote mine work currently. Not a true 14/14 shift more like a 16/12 if all travel works out with no delays. Camp to small for manpower so forced to move to dive hotel.

Not a good place to work.  It’s all about cutting corners to save money.  Upper management is a disaster, and needs to check egos at the door.  Safety is not a priority, it’s a burden on the budget.  Come pay day you’d be lucky if the hours paid matched the hours worked.  They do everything they can to dance around paying people overtime. Unless of course you’re a local then the you’ll get lots.  Camp was riddled with mould before workers started to become sick and complain. Turnover rate is scary.  Absolutely no training program. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part about working at Ascot was the friends I made while working there. There were plenty of times where things where chaos with camp arrangements and rides too and from site. But other than that it was a decent place to work. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Unorganized a lot of the time. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great co-workers, made a lot of great friends.

One of the worst managed places I have had the pleasure to work at. From the top down everything is micromanaged with terrible decisions being made. No place to change and dry your coveralls, which you have to supply yourself because the company doesn't supply much. Just went into care and maintenance, people found out about being laid off through cancelled flights. Didn't even get notified first. So much chaos and disorganization. 

A typical day at work for me was to do what I was asked, and do even more. I worked hard for them. and got sick, and was fired because of it. The human resources team there were not there for anybody but themselves and for the administration. They did not pay me for any overtime days or any sick days.



What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing. They lie!! I would never work for that company ever again 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything . They are very unsafe

the most enjoyable part of the job was it was close to home.
co-workers. we got along.
hardest part was carrying 50 pounds of rocks a hundred times a day but i considered it a good workout.

There seems to be little or no direction from management. Money always seems to be an issue. Company is not very transparent. Great camp, good food. Non toxic workplace.

It is a fun place to work, the people really make the atmosphere. Work can be tough sometimes but that's just like anywhere! Can't beat the views absolutly beautiful
