A typical day at work is just building your trusses all day, yiu might get pulled away for a different odd job now and then.

I learned a lot from my co workers the guys I worked with were awesome they teach you what you need to know(don’t ever listen to management on how to build a truss they don’t know how)

In my experience with current management, all they are good for is pushing numbers beyond the builders capability, and the new guy has completely screwed a lot of old staff over, they will jump at you if you’re late, miss days anything of the sort

The co workers are awesome, management not so much, they will ride you as hard as they can. The work in its own right isn’t hard but it gets to be a lot when they’re pushing and pushing for trusses they don’t even know how to build

Hardest part is probably dealing with the heat in the summer and some truss types are more difficult to build then others, also dealing with management makes it a whole other job on its own

Most enjoyable part, besides getting to see the guys every day, absolutely NOTHING DONT DO IT

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
How management ran the company. They allowed hard working individuals to feel uncomfortable and unappreciated while letting the employees that did as little as possible to feel empowered and entitled. It was one of the worst working experiences I have ever gone through.

It was terrible. They tried to make it seem like rainbows and flowers but that was a cover for the day to day environment

Long and hard due to the fact that I did the work of 3 people

People have Respect and you have the Freedom to say what is Your Opinion and they care about their workers.!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
when they are in a Busy Situation and they pRessure you to do the task in very fast way .!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
there is no perfect environment of work anywhere you go there some not nice person but it depends on on how you will deal with with the situation.!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Monday is always a very very long day every minute takes forever

Management are very unprofessional and the whole Irving organization is almost like a cult type setting and only see it one way and that’s their way.
The pay is terrible for the type of work and for how you are pushed everyday to meet unrealistic budgets. There is no incentive to push any harder as the biggest raise a year is 0.25 or if you are lucky you can get 0.50.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Management and coworkers are friendly and helpful throughout the training period offering help and advice. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I found no stress working for Atlas. It’s a stress free environment with an understanding leadership in okace

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s a clean and safe work environment and is thoroughly cleaned after every shift

Everyone is different. Taste is subjective. Whether you like working for Atlas or not, will depend on what you like and are looking for. The management is good, for the most part. Pay structure and how the opportunity to acquire raises could be better explained during the hiring process. The pay and benefits are good not great. It would be hard to support a household with this job, if you are the sole source of income. The work is repetitive and can become monotonous. 



A typical day at Atlas as a truss builder consisted mostly of operating a C-clamp truss building system or a table truss building system. Both of these jobs involved constant physical labour (hammering, lifting, pulling) and careful measuring of each truss (+ or - 1/8th of an inch). It was also always important to promote a safe work environment by cleaning the shop, wearing safety gear, and being aware of all other shop operations.

disorganized and poor management. head office cant do anything right either. all the boys on the ground are great guys, good time to work with, but the upper management will make you question your life choices. you will spend a lot of the time on the floor hearing of/or complaining about extremely confusing decisions and disorganization made by the big wigs on any sort of work. it's astonishing how out of touch and daft these people are.



Just run and don’t look back, job is terrible and wage and make you do 3x the work for less with 25 cent raise a year! Ridiculous. The only good part about this job was the co workers. Management is terrible!! And I mean TERRIBLE. Should be considered into new management. Worked there for a year and it was a fair experience at first but it got worse and gave me a bunch of issues and constantly haveing the whip to my back. Don’t work here!! Youl regret it

To many bosses not enough workers.

It's all about numbers at my job.

You work like dog.  They worry about if you take break a minute early. Not a good work environment.
