Engaging, challenging, dynamic, creative, innovative, demanding and inspiring. Not to mention a lot of fun.

Always busy and constantly changing. No two days are alike.

Owner/Presidents lack of understanding and how to deal with people.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Unhappy teams and individuals due to unnecessary stress caused by poor organization. High people turnover.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Organized chaos, confusion and constant change caused by fickle leadership and constant change in direction.

The business is good and I did work with a great team. BOS used to be an amazing company when it was managed by the founder, unfortunately after his son taking over, the business struggled a lot because of his lack of knowledge, experience, business decisions. Which resulted in losing profits for a lot of the projects. The CEO and top management are always blaming the staff. Thus there is always people quitting because of the high stress level and the failure setups they have to deal with on a daily basis.

Definitely I won't recommend BOS for any one, there are way better companies out there.

BOS Innovations is a great place to work, especially because of the management and co workers. I learned many things and the only place where I learned the most of the automation engineering principles. The current size of the company elevated me to learn different aspects of the industrial automation techniques and made me to understand the greatest principles in my career.

As a mechanical designer I would design various automation systems.  The working conditions were good and the hours were flexible up to a certain point.  
As a student BOS provided me with fantastic experience and provided a fairly good learning environment.
The only downfall at BOS was the long hours (mandatory 44 hours/wk) and the limited perks.

Great people with the ability to succeed.
You can learn a lot of automation techniques
Nice culture and environment
A lot of work to do which is great for learning but not for living
Management will always try to keep your salary lower then market and your skill set.

Bos was a good place to work, most of the people were absolute beauties.  Good work/life balance. They were also flexible with hours if you had somewhere else to be.

One of the cons were management. They would say they were approachable but behind close doors were not. Most of the managers were not people persons, and did not like it if you stuck up for yourself.

Great place to learn and grow skills. Shop is very clean and the people are very friendly, accommodating and willing to help. Wages are low for general labourer position.

Learned everything I know about automation. I learn something neat everyday which I love. I have advanced my career here in a big way, started in a junior position and now I am intermediate in 3 years.

I genuinely enjoyed my time working here. Thankful for the experience I gained here and lessons learned. Great coworkers and a great team environment.
