I work at Britco for over a decade and the work culture is very poor .

Management are a bunch of poorly trained bootlickers who don't care about the employees and do everything in there power to blame workers for their mistakes and their idea of training is if you have a heart beat you are trained .
The hardest part of the job is dealing with the incompetent management and the office staff are very numerous for the size of the company and never once did I have a issue resolved on the first attempt when dealing with the office staff.
The only enjoyable part of working for this company were the workers that I had became friends with .
The condition and repair of equipment is pathetic at best and there are safety issues everywhere.
In short I would not recommend working for this company or any of their other businesses as I know people who work there and the same work culture is present at all of the plants .

I worked very hard and I was lucky I had a very good crew very cooperative and willing to work hard but looking for direction. 
When I arrived at Britco they were having down time about 10- 20% of the time .
Within about 4-6 months with everybody's hard work we had the down time down to about 2-3%and this continued for the most part until I left.
This was an old plant that had been let go for some time before I got there.
The most enjoyable time was working with the guys we all seem to work very well together. They were a very good crew. I talked them into starting an inventory system which also helped us do a better job.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The QA team is outstanding. Manager and Director are very supportive, always looking for professional growth of the staff. Salary is fair in the market. Excellent benefit plan. Products with discount for employees.

Long production days. Not enough staff in production department

Respectful, Inclusive, Recognize hard worker employees

A full agenda every day. Multiple tasks with a tight schedule, tasks are well distributed and organized

Cut floor is for food industry and kill floor is for veterans

Company force you to work in all area that us not really related to food industry

Poison environment between employees without protection from managers

My experience there is that management will always try and find a way to get out of helping the people who are working for them because at britco if you get hurt on the job apparently its your fault. Don't work here unless you want to be finding another job very fast because i started there and they started moving me around and i quit within 6 months. Benifits are non existent and even when you can get them you have to fight to get your benefit.

Worst company. They do not care and their is no work culture exist in this company everyone is coming from everywhere and ask to do the stuff which is not under your job description. So much work overload. Needed to revise their need of staff as they are clearly understaff in some departments but just hover everything over to the juniors. As well they do not want you to pay reasonable amount work compensation.

If you want a fast-paced environment to work for in Langley BC, I would recommend working at Britco  Inc. It is a pork processing plant so if you're squeamish about blood I suggest you ask to work on the cut floor. At that floor there is no blood well except for the few bits of meat that comes coming down the conveyor belt.beltbeltstowards you words you

Experience and education comes secondary to how close you are to the owner. Improvements can't be made unless the idea is put forth by upper management. Jobs are heavily guarded because all managers know they don't have the education to get another job with similar pay. Incredibly stressful workplace 

There’s no growth at all if you choose to work there(No matter how much potential you are Or how much effort you made), it was just waste of your time! The pay was pretty low than how much work you did! The manager has no 
respect and no fair. Don’t work for L HU, unless you have  nowhere to go. It’d just be wasting your time.

A few supervisors quitted due to insufficent fund and disapproval for parts. As a result, more labor hours were wasted. 
For example , a problem was repaired two years later after being reported, just because the parts costed less than 1K. During the time, much more electricity and gas was wasted, totally over 2 or 3K. Ridiculously.
